GO & CULTURAL EXCHANGE
Joanna introduces Go through beginner-friendly workshops, international exchange events, school programs, and community activities in Japan and abroad.
At the heart of this work is Igo Fantasia, a welcoming Go community founded and hosted by Joanna. The name “Fantasia” refers to a free-form musical composition and reflects her belief that everyone should be free to enjoy Go in their own way.
Igo Fantasia welcomes people of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced players. Participants can learn the rules, play friendly games, receive guidance, and connect with others over tea and snacks in a relaxed atmosphere.
Joanna also takes part in international Go events and cultural exchange programs, using Go as a way to connect people across countries, generations, and languages. She has been invited as a guest to the 2027 European Go Congress.
Through Igo Fantasia and her international outreach, Joanna aims to make Go more accessible and to share its cultural appeal with people around the world.
